I have found the talktalk space is very limited and transfer
many of the photos to an Freeserve website unfortunately this was removed where
Freeserve up-dated their system this has left a few links and pictures missing I
am sorry for any missing or disjointed pages which I have missed.
I was asked to produce a set of pages to help people with DIY Electrical
systems. I was told they were too complicated. I felt that giving half the
information was dangerous as people would half do the job and be unaware the job
was incomplete after this I placed these pages on my web site but they have
never been proof read so may contain errors it is up to the reader to check the
facts.
Lighting including
Two way
lighting and common
RCD fault.
Bathroom wiring
not that I expect DIY person to do any really just for interest.
Adding
aerial sockets not quite how I would have done it but was following request
to include certain info.
Consumer Units
I considered this pointless as Part P makes it too expensive for DIY change.
Electrical
Earthing Mainly to give the reader an understanding as to why again not
really a DIY subject.
Extension Leads
More about adaptors and different types of plugs and sockets.
Central
Heating Covers C and Y plans what made for one person to explain but other
people may find it helps.
Cable installation
This was to explain how one cable can carry different current according to how
it is run.
Most of the pages also include links to other web sites non of the pages tell
one everything without publishing the whole of the wiring regulations which are
copy write protected anyway one can't give all information required. But I would
hope they give the reader some insight. An electrician has a 4 year
apprenticeship and once completed is still learning and updating to give all the
information required would require many books of information which I can't
emulate and would also need careful proof reading which also has not been done
but I hope never the less they will help. Eric
